Seasonal Fun

We are just leaving our Summer and March is the start of Autumn, but living in a sub-tropical climate the temperature is still hot and humid. We don't have too many really cold days during the year so there is always lots of beach activity. My card for the "Seasonal Fun" CDAC  (Crafter's Digital Art Center) challenge shows this fun in the sun.

Happy Easter card

I don't normally send Easter cards but this year I am making an exception.  I made this card with a free image from the Imagine That Progressive Challenge and Inspiration blog and I am so pleased with how it turned out. You can join in this challenge by purchasing either the Easter Frame Outline OR the Easter Frame Color version and you too will receive the next challenge image free. Each time you play, you get a free digi.

I printed the image twice - the second one slightly larger - and cut out the lilies and butterfly from the larger image. I then punched some fern type leaves and layered them on 3D tape to the bottom of the card.

Inspiration

A swatch of colours and a photograph was the inspiration for this card entered into the CDAC - Inspiration Challenge.

The digi stamp is a freebie from Sliekje's Digi Stamps. The grass and fence were cut using the Silhouette Cameo digital cutter and the sunflower is from an unknown artist. Coloured with Prismacolor pencils.

Feeling Sketchy # 48

It is still raining here in Brisbane and it doesn't appear that it is going to end anytime soon. No wonder everywhere is flooded we have had half our annual rainfall already this month. Fortunately, we are safe from flooding but my heart goes out to those who have suffered so much. Some places have flooded 4 times in 2 months. I don't think I could cope with that.

On to my card for the Feeling Sketchy Challenge Blog. This appears to be such an easy sketch but for some reason I really struggled with it.

Here is my card

and here is the sketch for us to follow.
