Treat Boxes/Tree Ornaments

Hi! It's Wednesday and it's my turn to showcase some of the wonderful digis available in the Imagine That! digis by Kris store.

My pyramid boxes are made from vellum but you could also use cardstock.

Firstly I printed the images onto ordinary printer paper. After cutting out the template positioned this  over the previously printed image, taped it down with masking tape and fed through the printer again. I did this 3 times, 1 on each side of the pyramid. On one I used the same image all the way around and on the other I used a different image on each side. Using a piercing tool I made some small holes in the top and threaded through some ribbon. These can be used as treat boxes or even Christmas tree ornaments.

I used the coloured version of the images from the Joyous Reindeer set.

Don't forget you still have time to enter this months challenge over on the Imagine That! Challenge Blog.

I would like to add these to the following challenges:

Through The Craft Room Door  -  Anything Goes
Created With Love Challenges  -  #64 Anything Goes

Feeling Sketchy #72

A clean and simple card today for the Feeling Sketchy Challenge Blog. The optional challenge was to use patterned paper. I love stripes and dots together but my patterned paper with the dots looked a little sparse, so I grabbed a couple of circle stamps, some matching ink colours and stamped away. I quite like the way it turned out.

This is the sketch we hade as inspiration

Don't forget to link up your project on the Feeling Sketchy Challenge Blog to be in the draw for this months prize of 5 rolls of twine from Whimsy Farm Twine.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenges:

Inspirational Post

It was my turn to write an inspirational post for the Feeling Sketchy Challenge Blog and this is what I wrote:

I'm Sharyn, one of the Design Team Members on the Feeling Sketchy Challenge blog. Our sponsor this month is Whimsy Farm Twine and I would like to show you some of the different ways you can use your twine.

I have created 3 projects using Whimsy Farm Twine as the focal point. My first project is a "Thank You" card.

I wrote the word "Thanks" lightly in pencil and then using a piercing tool pre made the holes for stitching. Then stitched with the black and white twine - Bessie.

The tassel on this bookmark was made with red and white twine. Tassels are very easy to make, just Google "bookmark tassel" and you will find plenty of directions so you can make your own.

and finally to wrap this gift box I used purple and white - Phoebe.

I hope I have been able to inspire you to get the most out of your twine and don't forget to get your projects linked up by the end of the week to be in this months draw.
